It was an unforgettable day for the children of the San Vicente de Paul home in Chiclayo and its director, Mrs. Augusta del Rosario Bado Moreno.

Lazos de Ayuda Foundation, represented by Mrs. Maritza Castro, the Silvia Jara volunteer and the music teacher Mario Frias Mundaca hired by the Foundation, offered an emotional welcome to Pascal Viellard and Dolly Paquita Vasquez. They arrived from Atlanta, United States, to visit this center where they provide care and therapy to children who came by abandonment, domestic violence, abuse of different types and other traumatic circumstances.

The children had the opportunity to thank Pascal Viellard for the donation of the Steinlager piano that will allow the learning of that percussion instrument and strings in the music workshop. Words of welcome and gratitude were enriched by the first piano class taught by Pascal Viellard for children.

His talent in this instrument was motivating for all. In the same way, Mrs. Paquita was able to interact with the children, share experiences and feel the tender, loving and grateful embrace of all of them.
The piano workshop is a cultural development project of the Lazos de Ayuda Foundation, which, like its various educational and health projects, seeks to cultivate spirituality in children. Spirituality, considered as an internal belief system, encourages the feeling of living with meaning, stimulates hope, reinforces positive social norms, and provides a supportive social network, all elements that improve personal well-being.

In its ten years of existence, the Lazos de Ayuda Foundation, headed by Peruvian businesswoman Maritza Castro, has collaborated with the development of different projects in depressed areas of Peru. Thanks to the response of sponsors we have managed to bring hope to places where deficiencies threaten the integrity of people.
