Lazos de Ayuda Foundation, directed from Atlanta, United States, by Mrs. Maritza Castro, once again brought joy and hope to dozens of children in Lambayeque. Despite the restrictions of the pandemic, the representatives of Lazos de Ayuda Foundation Grecia Cox and the psychologist Fiorella Álamo Barsallo accompanied by several volunteers. They brought a lot of love and surprises to children from three social assistance places.

The tour began on December 11 at the San Juan Bosco Residential Reception Center located on the road to Pimentel, where the children received educational games, usb speakers and other gifts. The most important thing was the message of hope to the children from poor population, that requires sustained help to get ahead.

Psychologist Fiorella Álamo pointed out that she has grown as a person since she began her work as a volunteer.

The next place visited was the Santa María Josefa de Jesús in Ferreñafe. There, one member of Lazos de Ayuda Foundation, Grecia Cox, gave words of encouragement to the children and offered her commitment to help children who have gone through traumatic and abandoned situations. They also received hugs of love and educational gifts of all kinds. The joy and expressions of gratitude from the sheltered children were evident.

This year the tour ended at the San Vicente de Paul Residential Reception Center, in Chiclayo. The visit from Lazos de Ayuda was an early Christmas. In the sharing of gifts and hugs, the spirit of Christmas Eve was experienced. But there is still a lot of work to be done in institutions that do not always have electricity and where living conditions can improve with some electrical devices that are already listed to become the next gifts.

Through these visits of love, Lazos de Ayuda Foundation wants to keep alive the hope that Christmas brings and emphasize that there is no greater happiness than sharing.
